1. This Order may be cited as the

Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985

(Commencement) Order, 1985.

2. On the 4th day of April, 1985 the

Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985

, except sections 10, 18 and 28, shall come into operation.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment this

4th day of April, 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings into operation on 4th April, 1985 the provisions of the

Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985

, except sections 10, 18 and 28.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by

section 1

(6) of the

Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985

(No. 7 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:—
