GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1985.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by

section 32

of the

Greyhound Industry Act, 1958

(No. 12 of 1958), Bord na gCon with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture, hereby makes the following regulations:—

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1985.

(2) These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1985.

(3) The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of five per cent of such course bet.

(4) The Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1980 (

S.I. No. 183 of 1980

), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to fix the rate of levy payable to Bord na gCon on course bets at greyhound race tracks at 5 per cent.
