S.I. No. 440/1985 - European Communities (Non-Automatic Weighing Machines) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1985.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (non-automatic Weighing Machines) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1985.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1986.

3. The European Communities (Non-Automatic Weighing Machines) Regulations, 1979 (

S.I. No. 128 of 1979

) are hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (1) (inserted by the European Communities (Non-Automatic Weighing Machines) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985 (

S.I. No. 285 of 1985

) of Regulation 5

"(1) There shall be charged in respect of each non-automatic weighing machine submitted for EEC initial verification to an inspector under the Weights and Measures Act, 1878 to 1961, or to an officer of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards a fee of

(

a

) £0.74 in the case of a machine that is one of the first 50,000 machines so submitted on or after the 1st day of January, 1986, and

(

b

) a fee of £0.45 in the case of any other machine so submitted on or after the 1st day of January, 1986."
