1. This Order may be cited as the
Insurance (No. 2) Act, 1983
(Section 3) (Amendment) Order, 1985.
2. Article 3 of the
Insurance (No. 2) Act, 1983
(Section 3) Order, 1985 (S.I. No. 226 of 1985), is hereby amended by—
(
a
) the substitution in paragraph (
a
) of "twelve months" for "nine months", and
(
b
) the substitution in paragraph (
b
) of "twelve months" for "nine months",
and the said paragraphs as so amended are set out in the Table to this Order.
TABLE
(
a
) the obligation imposed on the administrator appointed on the 15th day of March, 1985, by sections 148, 150 and 158 of the said
Companies Act, 1963
, as modified by the said
Insurance (No. 2) Act, 1983
, to deliver specified documents to the registrar of companies not later than six months after the end of the year to which the documents relate shall, as respects such documents relating to the year 1984, be construed as an obligation imposed on an administrator to deliver the documents to the registrar of companies not later than twelve months after the end of the year to which they relate, and
(
b
) the obligation imposed on the auditors of a company by section 163 of the said
Companies Act, 1963
, as modified as aforesaid, to deliver a report on the matters specified in the said section 163 to the registrar of companies not later than six months after the end of the year to which the report relates shall, as respects such a report relating to the year 1984, be construed as an obligation imposed on such auditors to deliver the report to the registrar of companies not later than twelve months after the end of the year to which it relates.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
This Order extends from 30 September, 1985 to 31 December, 1985 the period within which the accounts for the year ended 31 December, 1984 of an insurance company under administration since 15 March, 1985 shall be delivered to the registrar of companies.
