S.I. No. 20/1985 - Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.

(2) These Regulations and the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1984 shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1985.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 4th day of February, 1985.

3. Article 4 of the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1984 (

S.I. No. 18 of 1984

) is hereby revoked.

4. The fee to be paid to the issuing authority on application for a certificate of competency shall be thirty-five pounds where the application relates to vehicles of Class H, twenty-seven pounds where the application relates to vehicles of Class D or Class E and eighteen pounds in any other case.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1984 so as to provide for revised rates of fees for driving tests.
