1. This Order may be cited as the Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Order, 1983.

2. The

Interpretation Act, 1937

(No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The fees chargeable by the Local Appointments Commissioners under

section 10

(1) of the

Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926

(No. 39 of 1926), as amended by

section 28

of the

Local Government Act, 1955

(No. 9 of 1955), shall be collected in money.

4. The Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Order, 1927 (S.R. and O., No. 10 of 1927), is hereby revoked.

This Order sets out the method of collecting fees chargeable to candidates for competitions held by the Local Appointments Commissioners.
