1. This Order may be cited as the

Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983

(An Post) (Vesting Day) Order, 1983.

2. The first day of January, 1984, shall be the vesting day for An Post.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 21st day of December, 1983.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 1st January, 1984 as the vesting day for An Post, the State-sponsored body established in pursuance of the

Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983

to take over the operation of the national postal services from the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.

section 9

(2) of the

Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983

(No. 24 of 1983), hereby order as follows
