1. This Order may be cited as the

Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1983

(Commencement) Order, 1983.

2. The

Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1983

shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1984.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment this

13th day of December, 1983.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on the 1st January, 1984, all provisions of the

Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1983

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by

section 9

of the

Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1983

(No. 1 of 1983), hereby orders as follows:—
