S.I. No. 158/1983 - European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1983.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1983.

(2) The European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 to 1982, the Regulations of 1983, and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 to 1983.

2. In these Regulations "the Regulations of 1983" means the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1983 (

S.I. No. 29 of 1983

).

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 24th day of June, 1983.

4. (1) Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 (

S.I. No. 302 of 1974

), as amended by the Regulations specified in paragraph (2) of this Regulation, shall be construed and have effect as if the reference in the definition of "the Council Directive" to the Ninth Commission Directive No. 74/421/EEC of 23rd July, 1974

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 to 1983 so as to bring into force amendments made to Council Directive 70/524/EEC through Commission Directive 82/822/EEC.
