S.I. No. 156/1983 - Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations, 1983.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations, 1983.

(2) These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) Regulations, 1953 to 1982 may be cited together as the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) Regulations 1953 to 1983.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 30th day of June 1983.

3. The following Schedule shall be substituted for the First Schedule to the Social Welfare (Disability, Unemployment and Marriage Benefit) Regulations, 1953 (

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for increases in the existing statutory reduced rates of disability benefit and unemployment benefit payable where the contribution condition in respect of the governing contribution year is only partially satisfied. The new rates are payable from 30 June 1983.
