1.—Section 18 of the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978 (which relates to the period during which applications may be made under Part III of that Act) is hereby amended by the substitution of “six years” for “five years”.

2.—In relation to any application under Part III of the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978, made on or after the 1st day of August, 1983, section 23 (1) (which relates to certain fees to be taken in the Land Registry) of that Act shall have effect as if there were substituted “£15” for “£5” in paragraph (a) and “£36” for “£12” in paragraph (b).

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (Amendment) Act, 1983.

(2) The Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1967 to 1980, and this Act shall be construed together as one Act and may be cited together as the Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1967 to 1983.
