1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations, 1982.
(2) These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) Regulations, 1953 to 1981 may be cited together as the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit and Unemployment Benefit) Regulations 1953 to 1982.
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 5th day of April, 1982.
3. The following Schedule shall be substituted for the First Schedule to the Social Welfare (Disability, Unemployment and Marriage Benefit) Regulations, 1953 (

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
These Regulations provide for increases in the existing statutory reduced rates of disability benefit and unemployment benefit payable where the contribution condition in respect of the governing contribution year is only partially satisfied. The new rates are payable from 5 April, 1982.
