1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Transport Acts (Fees) Regulations, 1982.

(2) These Regulations and the Road Transport Acts Regulations, 1933 to 1977, may be cited together as the Road Transport Acts Regulations, 1933 to 1982.

2. The following Schedule is hereby substituted for the First Schedule (inserted by the Road Transport Acts (Fees) Regulations, 1977 (

)) to the Road Transport Acts, 1933, Regulations, 1955 (

"FIRST SCHEDULE

FEES

(1) Merchandise Licence

(a) On application for a merchandise licence

£20

(b) On application for the renewal of a merchandise licence

£10

(c) On application for the transfer of a merchandise licence

£20

(2) Vehicle Plates

(a) On application for a vehicle plate

£20

(b) On application for the issue of a vehicle plate by way of replacement

£20

(c) On application for a vehicle plate if the conditions set out in Article 4 (2) are complied with

£2

(3) On application for an Order under Part V of the Act

£4"

3. The fee payable for an entry in the register established under

section 6

of the

Road Transport Act, 1971

, shall be £1."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Instrument is to increase the prescribed fees for the grant, renewal and transfer of Merchandise Licences, for the issue of vehicle plates, for inspection of the register of Merchandise Licences and for a copy of an entry in the said register.
