1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) Order, 1981.
2. (1) The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at a particular reference may be sold shall, in the case of a delivery, pursuant to one or more sales, of 100 gallons or more of the product at a time, be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule at that particular reference.
2) This paragraph shall come into operation on the 7th day of January, 1981.
3. (1) The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at any of the following references, that is to say 1 (

(2) This paragraph shall come into operation on the 8th day of January, 1981.
4. (1) The Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) (No. 4) Order, 1980 (
S.I. No. 245 of 1980
), is revoked, with effect from the 7th day of January, 1981 other than paragraph 3.
(2) Paragraph 3 of the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) (No. 4) Order, 1980 (
S.I. No. 245 of 1980
) is revoked with effect from 8th day of January, 1981.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
This Order fixes the maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description set our in the Schedule to the Order may be sold in the case of deliveries of 100 gallons or more and the maximum price, inclusive of Value Added Tax, at which petrol and kerosene may be sold in the case of deliveries of less than 100 gallons (i.e. by retail).

The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the
Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965

Prices Act, 1958
(No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the
Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972
(No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 (

), and the Industry, Commerce and Energy (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 (
