S.I. No. 423/1981 - Safety in Industry (Operations At Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1981.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Safety in Industry (Operations at Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1981.

(2) The Factories (Operations at Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1956 (

S.I. No. 173 of 1956

), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Safety in Industry (Operations at Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1956 and 1981.

(3) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1982.

2. Paragraphs (2) and (4) of Regulation 3 of the Factories (Operations at Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1956, shall each be construed and have effect as if the word “male” were deleted.

These Regulations repeal the word “male” in paragraphs (2) and (4) of Regulations 3 of the Factories (Operations at Unfenced Machinery) Regulations, 1956.
