S.I. No. 79/1979 - Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979.

2. Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations, 1973 (

S.I. No. 160 of 1973

) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub-article (4) (as substituted by article 2 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1978 (

S.I. No. 54 of 1978

) of the following sub-article:—

"(4) A maintenance allowance payable in accordance with this article shall with effect from the 1st April, 1979 be at a rate not exceeding £15.20 per week ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, as from 1st April, 1979, the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under

Section 69

of the

Health Act, 1970

, to fifteen pounds and twenty pence.
