S.I. No. 158/1978 - Taximeter (Fees on Verification and Stamping by Special Inspectors) Regulations, 1978.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Taximeter (Fees on Verification and Stamping by Special Inspectors) Regulations, 1978.

2. (1) The fee to be paid in respect of the verification and stamping of a taximeter by a special inspector shall be fifty new pence.

(2) Every such fee shall be paid by the person who submits the taximeter for such verification and stamping.

3. The Weights and Measures (Verification and Stamping Fees) Order, 1978 (

S.I. No. 137 of 1978

), shall not apply in respect of the verification and stamping of taximeters by special inspectors.

4. The Taximeter (Fees on Verification and Stamping by Special Inspectors) Regulations, 1938 (S. R. & O., No. 284 of 1938), are hereby revoked.
