1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Act, 1977 (Section 1) (Appointed Day) Order, 1978.

2. The 9th day of May, 1978, is hereby appointed as the day on which

section 1

of the

Garda Síochána Act, 1977

(No. 24 of 1977), shall come into operation.
