1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Transport Acts (Fees) Regulations, 1977.
2. In these Regulations "the Regulations of 1971" means the
Road Transport Act, 1971
(Fees) Regulations, 1971 (
S.I. No. 183 of 1971
).
3. The fee payable for a copy of an entry in the register established under
section 6
of the
Road Transport Act, 1971
, shall be 50p.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
The effect of the Instrument is to increase the prescribed fees for the grant, renewal and transfer of merchandise licences, for the issue of vehicle plates, for inspection of the register of merchandise licences and for a copy of an entry in the said register.
4. The following is hereby substituted for the First Schedule to the
Road Transport Act, 1933
, Regulations, 1955 (
S.I. No. 69 of 1955
):—
"FIRST SCHEDULE.
FEES
(1) Merchandise Licences
( a ) On application for a merchandise licence
Ten pounds
( b ) On application for the renewal of a merchandise licence
Five pounds
( c ) On application for the transfer of a merchandise licence
Ten pounds
(2) Vehicle Plates
( a ) On application for a vehicle plate
Ten pounds
( b ) On application for the issue of a vehicle plate by way of replacement
Ten pounds
( c ) On application for a vehicle plate if the conditions set out in Article 4 (2) are complied with
One pound
(3) On application for an order under Part V of the Act
Four pounds"
5. The following is hereby substituted for Regulations 2 and 3 of the Regulations of 1971
" 2. The fee payable for inspection of the register established under
section 6
of the
Road Transport Act, 1971
(No. 8 of 1971), shall be 50p.

I, PÁDRAIG FAULKNER, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 6
of the
Road Transport Act, 1933
(No. 8 of 1933),
section 6
of the
Road Transport Act, 1971
(No. 8 of 1971), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 (No. 125 of 1959), and with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations:—
