S.I. No. 67/1976 - Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1976.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1976.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1976.

3. Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations 1973 (

S.I. No. 160 of 1973

) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub-article (4) thereof (as substituted by article 3 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1975 (

S.I. No. 221 of 1975

)) of the following sub-article:—

"(4) A maintenance allowance payable in accordance with this article shall be at a rate not exceeding £9.85 per week".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, as from the 1st April, 1976, the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under

Section 69

of the

Health Act, 1970

, to nine pounds and eighty-five pence.
