S.I. No. 267/1976 - Maximum Prices (Kerosene) (No. 4) Order, 1976

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Kerosene) (No. 4) Order. 1976.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 24th day of November, 1976.

3. The maximum price at which kerosene (paraffin oil) may be sold by retail shall be a price calculated at the rate of 41p per gallon.

4. It shall be a defence in a prosecution for an offence under this Order to show—

(

a

) that the kerosene (paraffin oil) in relation to which the prosecution is brought was purchased by the retailer from Burmah Castrol (Ireland) Limited, Conoco (Ireland) Limited, Irish Shell Limited, Esso Teoranta, or BP Ireland Limited, or from an authorised agent or distributor of any of those companies, and

(

b

) that the price at which the retailer sold the kerosene (paraffin oil) did not exceed a price calculated at the rate of 42p per gallon.

5. The Maximum Prices (Kerosene) (No. 3) Order, 1976 (

S.I. No. 182 of 1976

), is hereby revoked.
