1. This order may be cited as the
Finance Act, 1975
(Section 44) (Appointed Day) Order, 1975.
2. The 1st day of January, 1976, is hereby appointed to be the day on which subsections (1), (2) and (3) of
section 44
of the
Finance Act, 1975
(No. 6 of 1975), come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
Section 44
of the
Finance Act, 1975
provides for increases in the annual excise duty payable in respect of dogs and in the penalty for failure to pay such duty to come into operation on such day as the Minister for Finance may appoint by order. This order appoints the 1st day of January, 1976 as that day.
