1. This Order may be cited as the

Health Contributions Act, 1971

(Commencement) Order, 1971.

2. The

Health Contributions Act, 1971

, shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1971.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the

Health Contributions Act, 1971

, into operation on the 1st October, 1971. From that date, regular contributions towards the cost of hospital and other services under Part IV of the

Health Act, 1970

, will be payable, in the main by persons who, with their dependants, have limited eligibility for those services.
