1. This Order may be cited as the

Agricultural Workers (Holidays and Wages) Act, 1969

(Commencement) Order, 1969.

2. The 31st day of July, 1969, is hereby appointed as the day on which Part II of the

Agricultural Workers (Holidays and Wages) Act, 1969

(No. 17 of 1969) shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my official Seal, this 25th day of July, 1969.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to bring into operation on 31st July, 1969 the provisions of the Act for the granting to agricultural workers of 6 public holidays or Church holidays in lieu, with pay, each year.

AGRICULTURAL WORKERS (HOLIDAYS AND WAGES) ACT, 1969 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1969.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by

section 1

(4) of the

Agricultural Workers (Holidays and Wages) Act, 1969

hereby order as follows :—
