1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.
2. These Regulations and the Pounds Regulations, 1938 and 1959, may be cited together as the Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1968.
3. The
Interpretation Act, 1937
(No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.
4. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 (S.R. & O., No. 149 of 1938), shall have effect, in relation to chattels and animals impounded on or after the 1st day of April, 1968, as if the following Table were substituted for the Table (inserted by the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1959 (

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
The effect of this Order is to increase, with effect as on and from the 1st April, 1968, the pound-keepers' fees prescribed in the Pounds Regulations, 1938, as amended by the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1959.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 8
of the
Pounds (Provision and Maintenance) Act, 1935
(No. 17 of 1935), hereby make the following Regulations
