S.I. No. 233/1968 - Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.

(2) The Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1967, and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1968.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 3rd day of January, 1969.

3. The following Schedule shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 (

S.I. No. 274 of 1960

) as inserted by article 4 of the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1967 (

S.I. No. 248 of 1967

).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) (Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1967, which provide for payment of reduced rates of old age (contributory) pension where the contribution conditions are partially satisfied, for the purpose of increasing these reduced rates to 69/6d, 66/6d, 63/6d and 60/6d, from 62/- 59/-, 56/- and 53/- respectively as from 3rd January, 1969.
