S.I. No. 179/1968 - Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Rules, 1968.

1. (1) These rules may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Rules, 1968.

(2) The Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) Rules, 1967, (

S.I. No. 105 of 1967

), and these Rules may be cited together as the Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) Rules, 1967 and 1968.

2. The Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) Rules, 1967, shall be amended as follows

(

a

) in Rule 10 (2) "owner or master of the ship" is hereby substituted for "master of the ship in writing signed by him"; and

(

b

) the following is hereby substituted for the Second Schedule—

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The main effect of these Rules is to substitute a revised list of the types of explosives which, subject to certain conditions, may be taken on board passenger ships.
