1. This Order may be cited as the

Patents Act, 1964

(Commencement) Order, 1966.

2. The 1st day of July, 1966, is hereby appointed as the day on which the

Patents Act, 1964

(No. 12 of 1964), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 1st July, 1966, as the date on which the

Patents Act, 1964

(No. 12 of 1964) comes into operation. By virtue of Rule 3 of the Patents Rules, 1965, the date of commencement of those Rules is also the 1st July, 1966.
