1. This Order may be cited as the Importation of Meat and Animal Products (Amendment) Order, 1966.

2. The

Interpretation Act, 1937

(No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Importation of Meat and Animal Products Order, 1963 (

S.I. No. 186 of 1963

), shall have effect as if Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Federal Republic of Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland were not included in the countries mentioned in the First Schedule thereto.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order is to prohibit the importation from the countries named therein of meat and products containing meat which were hitherto permitted under the Importation of Meat and Animal Products Order, 1963.
