1. This Order may be cited as the
Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1966
(Appointed Day) Order, 1966.
2. The 31st day of October, 1966, is hereby appointed as the day on which

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
This Order brings into operation on 31st October, 1966,

Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1966
, (No. 24 of 1966) which relate to increased rates of social insurance contributions, the easement of the conditions for widows' (contributory) pensions including the payment of reduced pensions in certain cases and the extension of unemployment benefit to women employed in private domestic service and in agriculture.
