1. These Regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Promotion) (Amendment) Regulations, 1966.

2. The Garda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1960 (

S.I. No. 203 of 1960

), are hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph (

a

) of Regulations 6 and 11 of the following paragraph, namely—

"(a) Examination in educational subjects.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for changes in the educational subjects of the examinations for promotion to the ranks of Sergeant and Inspector in the Garda Síochána.
