S.I. No. 192/1965 - Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1965.

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1965.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of September, 1965.

2. The Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1949 (

S.I. No. 230 of 1949

), shall have effect as if—

(i) the rates set out in the First Schedule and the rates of ninepence and one shilling and threepence set out at reference number 1 in the Second Schedule were increased by twenty-five per cent, and

(ii) the Third Schedule were amended by the addition thereto of the following

(c) For mooring or unmooring ships at Pontoon Wharf—

(i) ships carrying not more than 750 tons

3. The rate of threepence is hereby fixed as the maximum wharfage rate to be charged by the New Ross Harbour Commissioners in respect of each ton of cargo loaded or discharged at Pontoon Wharf.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the New Ross Harbour Commissioners to charge revised maximum goods and tonnage rates, and to introduce wharfage and service charges, at the Port of New Ross.
