S.I. No. 192/1964 - Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1964.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1964.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1964.

3. Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations, 1963 (

S.I. No. 142 of 1963

) is hereby amended by the deletion of subarticle (3) and the substitution therefor of the following:—

" (3) A maintenance allowance payable in accordance with this article shall be at a rate not exceeding one pound, twelve shillings and sixpence per week."

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of these Regulations is to increase from one pound, seven shillings and sixpence per week to one pound, twelve shillings and sixpence per week the maximum maintenance allowance payable to a disabled person under

section 50

(5) of the

Health Act, 1953

of the

Health Act, 1947

(No. 28 of 1947), and by subsection (5) of

section 50

of the

Health Act, 1953

(No. 26 of 1953), hereby makes the following Regulations :—
