S.I. No. 131/1964 - Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1964

1. The Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1958 (No. 228 of 1958), are hereby revoked.

2. The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of five per cent. of such course bet.

3. These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1964.

4. These regulations shall come into operation on the 15th day of June, 1964.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of these regulations is to fix the rate of levy payable to Bord na gCon on course bets at greyhound race tracks at five per cent. from 15th June, 1964.

Bord na gCon, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by subsection (3) of Section 5 and

Section 32

of the

Greyhound Industry Act, 1958

(No. 12 of 1958), and with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say :—
