S.I. No. 111/1963 - Greyhound Race Track (Racing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1963.

1. These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Racing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1963.

2. The Greyhound Race Track (Racing) Regulations, 1960 (No. 64 of 1960), are hereby amended by the deletion of sub-Article (7) of Article 5 thereof and the substitution therefor of a sub-Article in the following terms :—

The Racing Manager shall ensure, in the case of a raced greyhound, that all its trials and races (including trials held for the purposes of sales of greyhounds) are duly recorded on the relevant identity card.

In the case of an unraced greyhound, he shall ensure that the first trial run by the greyhound is entered in its identity card and every trial and race after it has recorded the qualifying time of 32 secs. for 525 yards flat or its equivalent over any other distance.

The provisions of this sub-Article shall also apply in respect of hurdle racing for which the qualifying time of 33.50 secs. for 525 yards or its equivalent over any other distance applies.

Any unauthorised person who marks, alters or in any way interferes with an identity card shall be liable to be warned off.

3. These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1963.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to amend the Greyhound Race Track (Racing) Regulations, 1960, regarding the making of entries in greyhounds' identity cards in respect of trials.
