1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1959.
2. These Regulations and the Pounds Regulations, 1938 (
S. R. & O. No. 149 of 1938
), may be cited together as the Pounds Regulations, 1938 and 1959.
3. The
Interpretation Act, 1937
(No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.
4. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 (
S. R. & O. No. 149 of 1938
), shall have effect, as respects chattels and animals impounded on or after the 1st day of April, 1959, as if the following Table were substituted for the Table in the Second Schedule

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The effect of this Order is to increase, with effect as on and from the 1st April, 1959, the pound-keepers' fees prescribed in the Pounds Regulations, 1938.

section 8
of the
Pounds (Provision and Maintenance) Act, 1935
(No. 17 of 1935), hereby make the following regulations :—
