S.I. No. 271/1957 - Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1957.

1. These regulations may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1957.

2. The

Interpretation Act, 1937

, (No. 38 of 1957) applies to these regulations.

3. Regulation 110 of the Weights and Measures (General) Regulations, 1928 (

S. R. & O. No. 71 of 1928

), is hereby amended by the substitution of the figures " 1960 " for the figures " 1958 " (inserted therein by the Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1952 (

)).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends up to the 1st January, 1960, the operation of Regulation 110 of the Weights and Measures (General) Regulations, 1928 whereby the continued use of certain platform machines and weighbridges not in full conformity with the Regulations shall be permitted provided that on test they are ascertained to be correct within the allowances prescribed by the Regulations.
