S.I. No. 256/1955 - Control of Imports (Amendment of Quota No. 1 and Revocation of Quota No. 14) Order, 1955.

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Amendment of Quota No. 1 and Revocation of Quota No. 14) Order, 1955.

2. The

Interpretation Act, 1937

(No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The inner tube of a pneumatic tyre shall, as well as the outer cover of a pneumatic tyre, be deemed to be a pneumatic tyre for the purposes of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) Order, 1934 (

S. R. & O. No. 230 of 1934

), and " pneumatic tyre " shall in that order be construed accordingly.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) (Amendment) Order, 1935 (

S. R. & O. No. 34 of 1935

), and the Control of Imports (Quota No. 14) Order, 1935 (

S. R. & O. No. 64 of 1935

), are hereby revoked.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 31st day of December, 1955.
