1.—In this Act, the expression “the Act of 1947” means the Trade Union Act, 1947 (No. 17 of 1947).

2.—Section 2 of the Act of 1947 is hereby amended by the substitution, for references to the period commencing on the passing of that Act and ending on the 8th day of July, 1950, inserted therein by the Trade Union Act, 1949 (No. 11 of 1949), of references to the period commencing on such passing and ending on the 8th day of July, 1951.

3.—Every order—

(a) made under subsection (1) of section 2, or continued in force by section 3, of the Act of 1947, and

(b) in force on the 8th day of July, 1950,

shall continue in force until the 8th day of July, 1951, unless previously revoked.

4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Trade Union Act, 1950.

(2) The Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1949, and this Act may be cited together as the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1950.
