1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38. Sixteenth Period) Order, 1945.
2. The
Interpretation Act, 1937
(No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.
3. The period beginning on the 1st day of January, 1946, and ending on the 30th day of June, 1946, is hereby appointed to be the sixteenth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38) Order, 1939 (
S. R. & O. No. 139 of 1939
), (which relates to certain metal screws).
4. Fifty thousand gross of the screws to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38) Order, 1939, applies shall be the quota in respect of the said sixteenth quota period.
5. Of the quota in respect of the said sixteenth quota period, forty-eight thousand gross shall be screws which are shown, to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners, to have been manufactured either in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or in the Dominion of Canada.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—
