GENERAL REGISTER OF NATIONALS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (5) of

Section 27

of the

Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935

(No. 13 of 1935), that the Minister for External Affairs may by order make regulations in respect of (amongst other matters) the form of the general register of nationals

AND WHEREAS in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said sub-section (5) the said Minister made the General Register of Nationals Regulations, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 151 of 1935)

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for External Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (5) of

Section 27

of the

Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935

(No. 13 of 1935), and of every and any other power him in his behalf enabling, hereby orders and makes the following Regulations, that is to say:—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the General Register of Nationals (Amendment) Regulations, 1938.

(2) These Regulations shall be construed as one with the General Register of Nationals Regulations, 1935 (No. 151 of 1935), (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations), and the Principals Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the General Register of Nationals Regulations, 1935 and 1938.

2.—The

Interpretation Act, 1937

(No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3.—(1) The general register of nationals shall be in the form set forth in the Schedule hereto.

(2) Regulation 4 of, and the Schedule to, the Principal Regulations are hereby revoked.
