1. This Order may be cited as The

Road Traffic Act, 1933

(Date of Commencement) No. 7 Order, 1937.

2. The

Interpretation Act, 1923

, shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in the same manner in which it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The portions of the Act mentioned in the First Schedule to this Order shall come into operation on the 3rd May, 1937.

4. Sub-section (1) of Section 13 shall come into operation on the 3rd May, 1937, for the purpose only of effecting the repeal of the enactments mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Order, being enactments (or portions of enactments) mentioned in the Schedule to the Act.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

WHEREAS by

Section 2

of the

Road Traffic Act, 1933

(in this Order referred to as " the Act "), it is enacted that the Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by any Order or Orders of the Minister either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so fixed for different purposes and different provisions of the Act

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers so conferred on him, hereby orders as follows :—
