Statutory Text (7 Articles)
1. Boots, shoes, goloshes, sandals, clogs, or other external footwear, and component parts of any such footwear.
2. Articles of a surgical or medical character intended to be worn because of or as a preventive against or remedy for any physical ailment or defect.
3. Any component part of personal clothing or wearing apparel which, in the opinion of the Revenue Commissioners, is of the nature of a crest, badge, or motif.
4. Any article which, in the opinion of the Revenue Commissioners, is designed, constructed, and intended for use by persons in the course of their employment as a protection against injury or disease.
5. The prohibition effected by the next preceding paragraph of this Order shall not extend or apply to—
(
a
) any article which is imported under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Act, or
(
b
) any article to which this Order is precluded by sub-section (4) of section 3 of the Act from applying.
6. The 19th day of November, 1934, is hereby appointed to be the day on which the first quota period under this Order shall commence.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 6) ORDER, 1934.
WHEREAS it is enacted by
section 3
of the
Control of Imports Act, 1934
, (No. 12 of 1934), that the Executive Council may at any time by order (in that Act called a quota order) prohibit, subject to the provisions of the said Act, the importation into Saorstát Eireann on or after a specified day (in that Act referred to as the commencement of such order) not prior to the date of such order of any particular description or descriptions of goods and that the Executive Council shall, in and by every quota order, appoint the day (not more than six weeks after the commencement of such order) on which the first quota period under such quota order shall commence
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by
section 3
of the
Control of Imports Act, 1934
, (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows
