1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended as follows, that is to say:—
(a) by the deletion of Article 17 thereof; and
(b) by the deletion of the words “and shall comply with the provisions of Article 17 of this Constitution” now contained in Article 55 thereof.

2.—Section 2 of the Constitution of the Irish Free State (Saorstát Eireann) Act, 1922 (No. 1 of 1922), is hereby repealed.

3.—Article 50 of the Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “within the terms of the Scheduled Treaty” now contained therein.
