§ 1 Scope of the Decree Establishment of balance of payments reports of credit institutions Open official source

This Decree establishes the requirements for the content and structure of the report listed in § 3 of this Decree to be submitted to Eesti Pank (hereinafter report), and the dates and procedure for submitting the report to Eesti Pank.

§ 2 Application of the Decree Establishment of balance of payments reports of credit institutions Open official source

All credit institutions and branches of credit institutions operating in Estonia (hereinafter credit institutions) are required to prepare and submit the report established under this Decree. The report is submitted about the operations of the credit institution’s entity located in Estonia (head office).

Credit institutions shall prepare and submit the following report “Report on services sold to and bought from non-residents”, code 221 (Appendix 2).

(1) The reporting period for the report referred to in § 3 is one quarter.

(2) The report referred to in § 3 shall be submitted by the tenth banking day after the end of the reporting period.

§ 5 Submission of report Establishment of balance of payments reports of credit institutions Open official source

(1) The report shall be submitted to Eesti Pank electronically in the XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format, as in Decree No. 2018 of the Governor of Eesti Pank of 4 May 29 “Requirements for the electronic submission of reports” (RT I, 05.06.2018, 1).

(2) Should errors be discovered or the reporting principles changed, a new, rectified report shall be submitted to Eesti Pank in electronic form.

(3) In the absence of data on the reporting area, a blank report shall be submitted.

(1) The currency codes in the report are indicated in capital letters and in accordance with the ISO 4217 currency code list.

(2) The clients’ country codes are indicated in capital letters and in accordance with the ISO 3166-1 two-letter code list for countries and their subdivisions.
