1. Le produit de la taxe alimente un fonds géré par le département et destiné, outre la couverture des frais liés au prélèvement de la taxe et à la gestion de ce fonds, dans l'ordre de priorité défini ci-dessous
a. au versement de l'indemnité due au titre d'expropriation matérielle ;
b. aux mesures de protection et de reconversion de terres en surfaces d'assolement ;
c. aux mesures de protection ou de valorisation de la forêt en cas de défrichement.
2. En cas de manque momentané de trésorerie, l'Etat avance les ressources nécessaires.
