Mootness of Appeal Regarding Historical Health Insurance Premiums and Enforcement Costs
Sintesi Legislator
Generato dall'IAThe court addressed appeals concerning outstanding health insurance premiums and associated enforcement costs from 1997 through 1999, after the insurer had previously canceled premiums and insurance contracts retroactively to December 31, 1997, for some family members and subsequently agreed to cancel all 1998 premiums. Since the parties subsequently reached an agreement confirming the cancellation of the remaining disputed 1998 premiums and related enforcement actions, the court determined that the appeals had become moot, leading to their dismissal from the roll without imposing court fees, with costs borne by the state.
