The case involves a late appeal regarding a penal order for violating traffic rules. The individual filed an appeal against a decision from the appellate court, which had initially dismissed the appeal on grounds of tardiness. In the submissions to the Federal Court, the appellant did not address the issue of the appeal's lateness but expressed frustration over the ongoing proceedings. The court found that the appeal did not meet the necessary requirements for consideration and thus decided not to admit it.

6B_598/2012

Urteil vom 5. Oktober 2012

Strafrechtliche Abteilung

Besetzung

Bundesrichter Schneider, Einzelrichter,

Gerichtsschreiberin Arquint Hill.

Verfahrensbeteiligte

X.________,

Beschwerdeführer,

gegen

Staatsanwaltschaft des Kantons Basel-Stadt, Binningerstrasse 21, Postfach, 4001 Basel,

Beschwerdegegnerin.

Gegenstand
