The Supreme Court of Slovenia ruled that the Basic Court lacked impartiality due to the plaintiff being the divorced wife of a judge on the appellate court and having personal acquaintances with judges at the Basic Court. The court found these circumstances constituted a significant reason to transfer the case to another competent court under the Code of Civil Procedure. Consequently, the Supreme Court approved the plaintiff's request to determine a different court to handle the proceedings.
