Legislator summary

The Constitutional Court rejected a claim challenging the notification of a court costs account, confirming the lower court's refusal to reform the decision. The applicant argued that receiving legal aid rendered the debt illegal, but the opposing party contended that such aid merely suspends payment obligations without nullifying the debt itself. The court ruled that legal aid only creates an inexecutability of the debt until the debtor's financial situation improves, thereby upholding the original order for the applicant to pay the costs.

Acórdão 547/99

ACÓRDÃO Nº 547/99

Processo nº 287-A/99
